While on vacation in Mexico, Danny and his dad go diving on their boat, the Shooting Star, with their dog Whooffie, and ocean friends Willy the orca and Bruce the shark. Deep under the sea, Danny finds a bottle with a strange letter inside—it has symbols he’s never seen before!
 
Curious to find out what it means, Danny and his family go on a big adventure to solve the mystery. Along the way, they travel to a jungle, save a dolphin named Dobo and his pod from danger, and help stop the bad guys who were hurting sea animals.
 
The journey leads them all the way to Peru, where they meet Coco, a talking lizard at Machu Picchu. Coco tells them the letter is part of a secret map… that might lead to hidden treasure!
